Position Statements

Tillamook/Clatsop

Meeting: Monday, April 12, 2010
Location: Mo's Restaurant, in Tolovana Park
Directions: Take the southernmost of 3 Cannon Beach exists off Highway 101.The restaurant is straight west from the exit, on the beach.
Social half-hour: 5:30pm
Dinner: 6:00pm
Cost: $11.00, including gratuity.
Program: 7:00pm. "Climate Change and Coastal Hazards on the Oregon Coast" by Patrick Corcoran, the Hazards Outreach Specialist with the Oregon Sea Grant Extension program.
Chapter Business Meeting 8:15pm

Note: We had a great turnout last month. Let's do it again! Looking forward to seeing you at our chapter meeting and invite other foresters you know to our meetings. And remember to bring that raffle item.

Chapter News Briefs

Mike Cafferata, ODF Salem, and Duane Cole, Clatsop County, presented insights into social sustainability in and by the forests of Oregon, what this means and how it affects all of us. It was some great insight into the thinking of our agencies and their planning process.

2012 Annual Meeting site review: We discussed the options. It looks like plans are taking shape for 2012.

The Oregon SAF Annual Meeting is HERE. It is April 7-9 in Albany, Oregon. Go and enjoy our State Society. Our local members again collected some great items that are close to $2,000 in value!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!
