Blue Mountain Chapter Chair Richie Gardner and Member Jamie Knight submitted an Op-Ed to the East Oregonian about the life of a forester. They answered the question that many members of the public have; what does a forester do exactly? The article focuses on the attention to sustainablitiy and correcting some of the misconceptions. Hagenstein Lectures Seeking Emerging Voices in Forestry Speakers
The World Forestry Center and Society of American Foresters are accepting nominations for the 2018 Hagenstein Lectures, which will be held Sunday, October 14, at the World Forestry Center in Portland, Ore.
Thanks to the Oregon Special Projects Fund, we now have new display materials available for your upcoming events. Two packages are available. Each package has one zip-screen display (as shown below), black table cloth, stickers and the like, and OSAF banner for the table. The display on the left is currently being housed in Roseburg and the display on the right is being housed in Portland. You may reserve the materials using the Google Docs sheet.
